Engineering contractors for planned and urgent work.
We supply engineering contractors for planned maintenance, shutdowns, breakdown recovery, project work and interim cover. Assignments can run from three months to 24 months or longer.
Before an introduction, we agree the work required, machinery or systems involved, site location, shift pattern, required experience, start date, reporting line and contractor rate.
Contractors work through an active Limited Company or a vetted UK Umbrella Company. The employer pays Sidebar Contracting at the agreed all inclusive bill rate. Sidebar Contracting pays the contractor after receiving approved timesheets and cleared client payment.
Invoices are issued weekly or monthly from approved timesheets. There are no upfront recruitment fees. The agreed bill rate includes our agency margin.
Each assignment has a standard 14 day notice period. If the work changes, the employer can reduce, extend or end the assignment with 14 days’ notice.
PERMANENT PLACEMENT
Direct hires for long term technical capability.
We recruit maintenance, electrical, mechanical, multiskilled, controls and automation professionals directly onto your company payroll. We agree the role, technical requirements, salary range, interview process and fee before candidates are introduced.
Permanent recruitment works on a no win, no fee basis. A fee is invoiced only when the successful candidate starts employment.
If the candidate resigns or is terminated because they do not meet the agreed capability standards during the first 12 weeks, we will run a replacement search at no additional recruitment fee. The warranty applies under the agreed terms of business.
